Tree Removal

Hazardous, dead or in-the-way trees taken down safely — climbed and lowered piece by piece when there's no room to drop them.

Tree Removal

Some trees have simply had it — dead, storm-cracked, rotting at the base, or growing into a spot where they’re a hazard to your roof, driveway or hydro service. When a tree has to go, the job is getting it down without touching anything you care about, and that’s a planning problem before it’s a chainsaw problem.

How we take a tree down

Every removal starts with a walk around the tree: what it’s leaning over, what’s under it, where the wood can and can’t go. Open yard with room to drop it? Great — that’s the quick version. Beside the house, over the shed, threaded through hydro clearances? Then the tree gets climbed or worked from the bucket truck and comes down in sections, each piece rigged and lowered on ropes under control.

Tight spots are the job

Most of our removals are in older neighbourhoods and on cottage lots where big trees and buildings have been sharing space for fifty years. Controlled dismantling — not luck — is what keeps a removal boring, and boring is exactly what you want when a two-tonne trunk is hanging over your deck.

What it costs

Assessments are free and quotes are firm. You’ll know exactly what the job costs, what’s included, and what happens to the wood before you commit to anything. We’re fully insured with complete liability coverage — the paperwork that protects you if something goes wrong on your property.

Questions about tree removal

How much does it cost to remove a tree?

There's no honest flat rate — a small dead ash in an open yard and a big maple leaning over a roofline are completely different jobs. The assessment is free. We look at the tree in person and you get a firm written number before any work starts.

Do I need a permit to remove a tree?

Sometimes. Tree bylaws vary by municipality and by the size and location of the tree. We'll flag it during the free assessment so you know where you stand before anything comes down.

Can you take down a tree that's right beside my house?

That's most of what we do. Tight spots get climbed and rigged — the tree comes down in controlled sections, lowered on ropes, not dropped. We're fully insured and happy to show you the coverage before we start.

What happens to the wood and brush?

Brush goes through the chipper. The wood gets bucked into rounds and either left for firewood or hauled away — your call, and it's settled in the quote so there are no surprises.

What customers say

Tyler and his crew did a great job removing a relatively large tree along our fence line, working in a tight space between two homes. They had a strong work ethic, were pleasant to deal with, on time, on budget, and very efficient. I’d definitely call him again for the next job.
